These are the Delivery Charges of your Transmission and Distribution Utility (TDU) / Transmission and Distribution Service Provider (TDSP). These Delivery Charges are what your local TDU/TDSP company charges each customer (ESI ID) for the cost of maintaining electricity poles and wires, meters, storm restoration, ect.
These charges are approved by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) and are passed through to you without any markup. These charges apply to all residential ESI ID regardless of who their Retail Electric Provider is. These charges may increase or decrease based on approval by the PUCT.
TDU/TDSP Delivery Charges will be passed through to your monthly invoice as billed by the TDU/TDSP. Certain Delivery Charges are billed on a monthly basis, and some are billed on a usage basis (per kilowatt-hour). Therefore, the total Delivery Charges amount will vary each month depending on your monthly kilowatt-hour usage.
